Course Description:
This course introduces the language of medicine with emphasis on the correct pronunciation, spelling, and meaning of medical terms. Students will learn the word roots, prefixes, and suffixes used to describe anatomical structures, diseases, diagnostic procedures, and treatments. The course develops the ability to accurately interpret and use medical language in nursing documentation, communication, and patient education.
