Faculty of Health Sciences
The faculty of Health Sciences is one of the pioneer faculties of CUST in the academic year of 2015/2016.
The curriculum is oriented towards training students to undertake the responsibilities of a physician of first contact who is capable of looking after preventive, primitive, curative and rehabilitative aspects of medicine.
It aims to ensure that our graduates have a good working understanding of biological, psychological and social mechanisms and processes, as well as their impact on health and disease, based on principles of learning drawn from cognitive psychology.
The faculty’s role, in the society, will be, to add to the health and safety of the Somali society. It will also continue to include consultative and research facilities.
Duration of Study in this college is four years including the preparatory year as well as hospital training before graduation which students will undergo for a full academic year.
